The official solicit synopsis for Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon #1 from Marvel Comics reads, "When an old acquaintance drags Logan into the search for a new abducted mutant subject, the terrifying methods of the defunct Weapon X program are revealed to be alive and well. As Wolverine follows the scent of the feral Tyler – and the scent of his own trauma – he finds himself in a deadly race against a super-soldier-creating corporation called PRIMEWARRIOR…which has just hired a very familiar face: the fully armed and upgraded NUKE! "

Introduced back in 1986's Daredevil #232 by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli, the cybernetically enhanced super soldier known as Nuke was born Frank Simpson. After being violently ripped away from his affluent and abusive household by none other than Logan, who was then brainwashed by the Weapon X Program, Frank was forcefully drafted into Project Homegrown and transformed into its relentless and bloodthirsty Weapon VII. In the years since, Nuke has played a role in numerous major storylines, though he has always circled back around to hunting the mutant antihero who helped make him what he is today.

Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon is just the latest exciting series starring the fan-favorite mutant hero that fans can look forward to in 2026. In January, Wolverine will be starring in the latest entry in Marvel's hit anthology series — Logan: Black, White & Blood. The series will explore different chapters in Logan's life, including his time in the military to his escape from the Weapon X Program to a previously unseen period in the 1970s during which Wolverine spent his time hunting serial killers. Logan: Black, White & Blood #1 is currently slated to arrive in comic book stores on January 14.

Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon #1 goes on sale Feb. 18, 2026 from Marvel Comics.
