Al Williamson

X-men v1 #203, 1986 - Rachel Summers, the new Phoenix, has a rematch with the Beyonder. This time, she has the support of the X-men and other allies. Once again, Al Williamson's inks don't really sync up with John Romita Jr.'s pencils. The lack of definition has a detrimental effect on the overall storytelling. One exception is the page below, depicting Rachel on the cusp of destroying the universe. This is 2 of 4 X-men issues by Williamson.
