Despite being probably the breakout star of the acclaimed Marvel Cinematic Universe series, Agatha All Along, Wiccan (Billy Maximoff, played by Joe Locke, one of the Scarlet Witch's two sons, and the one who took after his mother in terms of getting involved in the world of magic) has had a bit of a lull period in terms of his comic book appearances, but that changes now!
Starting in December, Wiccan will finally be receiving his own solo miniseries, Wiccan: Witches' Road, from writer Wyatt Kennedy, and artist Andy Pereira, and it will try to adapt the concepts from the hit TV series into the Marvel comic book universe, as well.
What is Wiccan: Witches' Road about?

In recent years, outside some one-off guest spots in his mother's comic book series, Wiccan's main plotline has been as the husband of his longtime love, Hulkling, his Young Avengers teammate who has become the king of the Kree/Skrull Empire. Their lives in the intergalactic landscape have been their main focus, but now, due to the events of Imperial, Hulkling has been taken off of the board due to an assassination attempt.
So now Wiccan has returned to Earth with his severely injured husband, and he is intent on doing whatever he can to save his husband, even if it means experimenting with a dangerous form of magic. Hence, the journey to the Marvel Universe's version of the Witches' Road (which obviously did not go so well for the characters on Agatha All Along).
What do the creators of the series have to say about Wiccan: Witches' Road?

Wyatt Kennedy explained the impact writing this series has on him, "It's a real thrill to be able to take Billy in such an unexpected direction and put him out of his element, introducing a new villain and a surprising ally that I know fans have been wanting to see. Obviously getting the chance to write one of Marvel's best couples is a joy, but I'm really excited to dive deep into who Billy is as a single individual and explore what his title as Wiccan really means to both himself and the greater Marvel universe."

Pereira added, “I’m very happy that my debut is also Wiccan’s debut as a solo star, and the whole team and I are putting a lot of effort into making it the best it could be!” he continued. “I hope this is the first of many stories. I’m so excited to be drawing Billy and Teddy, in their really cool designs, along with the atmosphere Wyatt is doing a great job at creating. This being the Witches’ Road, the most challenging part is all the trees!”
Wiccan: Witches' Road #1 will feature a main cover by Lucas Werneck, as well as variant covers by Russell Dauterman and Luciano Vecchio. It is set to be released on December 3rd.
