All American Men of War v2 #29, 1956 - Wally Wood's story tells of the dangers of building and crossing a bridge during wartime. Not among his better works, many of the faces and figures are stiffly drawn (see interior page below). In Joe Kubert's tale, a GI must bring in a live prisoner for interrogation. The artwork is competent and dependably laid out. Though relatively early in his career, Kubert demonstrates a penchant for war comics. Other artists in this silver age comic include Irv Novick, Ross Andru, Mike Esposito and Jerry Grandenetti. Cover by Novick.
