Avengers v1 #233, 1983 - Annihilus activates a null field from inside the Baxter Building, where its slow expansion threatens the populace. John Byrne's last story art on the series is capably drawn. His renditions of the new members, Captain Marvel and Starfox are especially good. Kudos to Byrne for experimenting with the cover, allowing the paper stock to become the focal point. I have yet to see this idea executed as successfully elsewhere. This issue also ties into Fantastic Four #256.
