Posted on February 25, 2026 by Neil Cole
Caribbean Cinemas will present a special one-night-only theatrical event celebrating the enduring legacy of "Superman The Movie" on Tuesday, March 17th at 7:00PM. The iconic superhero film will screen simultaneously at Plaza Guaynabo, Plaza Las Américas, Arecibo Cinemas, Las Catalinas, Plaza del Caribe, and Western Plaza as part of Caribbean Cinemas' "Retro Tuesday" film series.
Directed by Richard Donner and starring Christopher Reeve in the role that defined a generation, the 1978 blockbuster film remains one of the most influential comic-book adaptations in motion picture history. Featuring Margot Kidder as Lois Lane and Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor, the film combines sweeping adventure, heartfelt storytelling, and pioneering visual effects. Its legendary score by John Williams further cemented the film's place as a cultural milestone.
The March 17th engagement offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience the Man of Steel's original cinematic flight exactly as it was meant to be seen - on the big screen and in a shared theatrical setting. All participating locations will begin the screening promptly at 7:00PM, creating a unified event across the island for fans and film enthusiasts alike.
Tickets are available through the Caribbean Cinemas website at CaribbeanCinemas.com and at participating theater box offices. This special presentation underscores Caribbean Cinemas' ongoing commitment to celebrating landmark films and delivering memorable moviegoing experiences throughout Puerto Rico.
