The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art recently unveiled a striking new six-foot-tall Superman statue during its Spring Open House event on April 11, 2026. Inspired by the the classic Fleischer Studios animated cartoons, the custom designed and 3D printed statue now stands prominently in the front window of the school's campus at 27 Main Street in Madison, New Jersey.

The statue is based on original artwork by Anthony Marques - professional comic book artist, editor, and current owner/president of The Kubert School. A graduate of the class of 2011, Marques assumed ownership of the institution in 2019 and has since been guiding its continued evolution, drawing on his industry experience with major publishers including DC Comics and Dynamite Entertainment.

The unveiling took place as part of the school's annual Spring Open House, welcoming prospective students, families, alumni, and members of the community. The statue serves as a new visual centerpiece that celebrates both Superman's enduring legacy and the school's deep roots in comic art tradition.

"I have had the privilege of doing some pretty amazing things in my life," said Marques during the event. "I've accomplished almost everything I have set out to do, still have more to do of course, BUT the best part of it all has been to share in these moments with my family!"

The sculpt was brought to life by Joseph Bradascio of EY Intelligent Reality Lab, whose expertise translated Marques' illustration into a fully realized three-dimensional form. The statue was then produced by Endure Shop, a New Jersey-based company specializing in advanced 3D printing, custom cosplay props, helmets, armor, and digital modeling.

As an accredited, specialized three-year institution dedicated to cartooning, graphic art, and comic book illustration, The Kubert School continues to blend tradition with innovation - honoring the past while embracing new technologies that shape the future of visual storytelling.

Visitors are encouraged to stop by and view the statue in person, now on display as a symbol of artistic excellence and creative inspiration.
