This oversized issue has five stories, each showing a D-list villain has been impacted buy Norman Osborn’s Dark Reign. They were first published digitally, then papered as a one-shot. The whole thing is written by Frank Tieri, with some very good artists. It … Is hit or miss. Like most digital books.
Story #1 is about the original Spymaster. Norman Osborn hires him to steal one of the last existing photographs of Howard Stark, just to irritate Tony. Story #2 is about Doctor Doom trying to recruit Attuma. Then Norman Osborn frees Jack O’Lantern from an interrogation room to get him to join his merry band of criminals.
The art is by John Paul Leon, making this the best of the bunch. Except for the fact that this dude was killed by Punisher before Dark Reign even started.
After Jack, we get a glimpse of the Gamma Corps team (who are lame and I haven’t tagged them) followed by an introduction to another version of The Enforcer (who never appears again).
Like I said, it’s hit-or-miss. Mostly miss.
