Another death has been reported at Walt Disney World, marking the sixth in less than three months. Authorities say a man was found earlier this week in the Disney Springs area, the popular shopping and dining district on the resort property in Florida.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded around 9 p.m. Friday January 2, 2026 to a call from the Orange Garage on East Buena Vista Drive. “Deputies discovered a man who was deceased,” the department said in a statement to WKMG. Investigators are treating the case as a possible suicide. Officials said no further details would be released over the weekend.
This case is the now first reported death of 2026 at Walt Disney World but continues a disturbing streak. According to reporting at Breitbart, since October, six people have died on or near the property. In October, 31-year-old Summer Equitz of Illinois was found dead at the Contemporary Resort. A week later, a man in his 60s suffered a medical emergency at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and was pronounced dead shortly after at a local hospital.
On October 23, 28-year-old aspiring football referee Matthew Alec Cohn reportedly jumped from the 12th floor of the Contemporary Resort. Less than two weeks later, a woman in her 40s was found unresponsive at Disney’s Pop Century Resort and pronounced dead. Then, on November 8, an unidentified guest was found dead at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa near Disney Springs.
The series of deaths has raised new questions about what is happening inside the world’s most visited theme park. Local authorities have linked several of the incidents to medical or self-inflicted causes, but the repetition has caught public attention. Analysts say the trend is far from over, as both tourists and residents watch closely for answers.

I'm not as much of a "CoMiCs NeEd MoAr DiVeRsItY & iNcLuSiOn" advocate as my girlfriend often is, but we both love funny books, crispy bacon, straight bourbon and hip hop. Add yet, we never vote the same, so we cancel each other out... and that works perfectly in my book!
