Detective Comics v1 #482, 1978 - Concluding a Batman storyline of gorillas and mind transference, Jim Starlin's illustrations are noticeably improved from the previous issue. Craig Russell's inks are overpowering at times, but overall the art is bolstered by greater definition. Also, a superb two-page title spread (pages 2-3) doesn't hurt. This dollar comic also features solo adventures of Robin, Batgirl and inexplicably, the Demon. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Michael Golden, Bob Smith, Frank Chiaramonte, Dick Giordano, Juan Ortiz, Dave Hunt and Don Heck.
