Jason is an award-winning journalist whose writing career dates back to when he developed the ability to use a crayon. He, most notably, worked previously as a "professional fan," as he likes to call it, at CinemaBlend, for which he wrote about anything and everything under the pop culture umbrella... especially Batman. His passion for the art of cinema began even earlier, stemming from repeat viewings of The Wizard of Oz.
This initially led him to pursue a career in filmmaking -- and even work briefly in the industry as an extra in the straight-to-video family film, Alice Upside Down -- before deciding that his talents would be better served discussing and showing appreciation for the various forms of entertainment he is passionate about.

This is a developing story.

One of the most beloved superhero stories to originate from television is the cult-favorite 1980s-era series The Greatest American Hero. Believe it or not, the humorous, light-hearted adventure is about to return in a new comic book.

AMP Comics is launching a Kickstarter campaign for its upcoming comic book series based on The Greatest American Hero, in honor of the original show's 45th anniversary.

Like most other crowdfunded endeavors, contributors to the campaign will be treated with special rewards, including an exclusive hardcover graphic novel, T-shirts, belt buckles, and more. There are even some other rare items available that will come signed by the star of the original TV show, William Katt, who appears in a video announcing the launch on the official Kickstarter page.

The Greatest American Hero 45th Anniversary Graphic Novel does not have a release date.
