After more than a year, new episodes of the Harley Quinn animated series are nearly upon us. Today Warner Bros. debuted the Harley Quinn season five trailer. The Max Original adult animated series will arrive Thursday, January 16th followed by one new episode weekly through March 20 on Max.
Big changes are in store this season as Harley and Ivy decide to move out of Gotham and into Superman’s home turf of Metropolis. As shown in the Harley Quinn season five trailer, perenial Superman foe Brainiac foe (plus alien monkey pet Koko) has his sights set on the power couple. However, he’s not the only villain causing trouble this season. The trailer also teased the appearance of Red X. As fans may recall, last season Dick Grayson/Nightwing, voiced by Harvey Guillén, was seemingly killed off only to be resurrected thanks to the Lazarus Pits. The safe bet would be the person using the Red X moniker is indeed Dick Grayson out for revenge.
The voice cast for this season includes Kaley Cuoco as Harley Quinn, Lake Bell as Poison Ivy, James Adomian as Bane, Diedrich Bader as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Ron Funches as King Shark, Stephen Fry as Brainiac, Natalie Morales as Lois Lane, JB Smoove as Frank the Plant, Alan Tudyk as Clayface & Joker, and Aisha Tyler as Lena Luthor.
