I’m still riding the high from that new Jurassic movie, so seeing Spider-Man and Wolverine go up against freakin’ dinosaurs in this issue? Yes please. This series continues to throw wild curveballs, and I’m loving every bit of it.
We’re three issues in, and this series keeps proving it knows exactly what kind of story it wants to tell—loud, fast, chaotic, and character-driven. It’s not trying to be some deep philosophical arc, but it does pack real emotional weight under all the claws and quips. And with each issue, the creative team keeps pulling off this tricky balance between high-octane spectacle and small, personal moments.

FEAR AND LOATHING IN THE SAVAGE LAND! Things were wild in New York, but wait’ll you see LOGAN and PETER PARKER in the SAVAGE LAND! What grim hunt dogs them to this brutal of places? If you read the last issue, you know one of our heroes might not make it out alive. See the fallout of issue #2 play out in this landmark issue!

PROS:
- The art-style absolutely rips. It’s kinetic, detailed, and drenched in that old-school Marvel energy that made me fall in love with comics in the first place. Every panel feels alive, especially in the action sequences—whether it’s a dinosaur lunging or Logan slashing through a jungle ambush, the motion practically leaps off the page.
- But what really makes this issue work isn’t just the chaos and the cool visuals—it’s the dynamic between Spidey and Logan. Their banter, tension, and unspoken understanding give the issue a ton of emotional weight. They’re not exactly best of friends yet, but you can feel that layer of trust starting to form underneath all the jabs and arguments. There’s even a quiet moment where it feels like Peter’s beginning to question the evidence he recently saw about Wolverine being connected to his parents’ deaths. Maybe, just maybe, he wants to believe Logan’s not the monster he thought.
- The dialogue never overstays its welcome, with just the right amount of snappy banter, emotional beats, and classic Spidey humor to keep things moving without slowing down the action. And, yes, everybody still thinks Spider-Man talks too much.
- It’s also really friendly to comic book newbies—no deep Marvel knowledge required. You can jump in, follow the action, and still get all the character dynamics without feeling lost. Everything is clearly explained, and anything from the past is properly introduced and fleshed out.
- And while Kraven’s presence continues to be a highlight (seriously, this dude owns every panel he’s in), I was pleasantly surprised by the expanded lineup of villains and hunters chasing them. This isn’t just a Kraven show—it’s turning into something bigger, with layers of mystery building around who’s really pulling the strings. There’s a real sense of something massive simmering beneath the surface.

CONS:
- If I had one complaint, it’s that Spidey and Logan’s time in the Savage Land felt way too short. There was so much potential there—dinosaurs, jungle traps, primal survival—but before we could really soak it all in, they were whisked away to a new setting. I get it, the story’s moving fast, but I wouldn’t have minded one more issue of pure Savage Land madness.

FINAL GRADE: B+

Spider-Man & Wolverine #3 keeps the momentum going with stunning art, tight action, and deeper character moments than you might expect. The buddy-cop tension between our heroes is evolving into something more layered, and the bigger picture is starting to take shape—with just enough mystery to keep you hooked. Can’t wait to see where this wild ride heads next.
With the stage constantly shifting and the enemy list growing longer, this series is shaping up to be more than just a one-off team-up—it’s starting to feel like a key moment in both Spidey and Wolverine’s arcs. There’s real potential for this to become one of the more memorable Marvel minis in recent years, especially if it keeps building on the tension, the trust, and the mystery at its core. I’m definitely going to be seeing this one to the very end… blood, guts, and everything else included.
