One of the most respected names in his field, he is also a diehard enthusiast of all things comics, anime, gaming and movies — thriving in spaces where discussions involving those or similar topics reign supreme.

Ready for the return of Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) in Avengers: Doomsday? Seems like a rhetorical question, of course, but there are plenty who have a problem with what that might mean for Sam Wilson's Captain America (Anthony Mackey), but at least both sides of that aisle will be able to agree on Marvel's unexpected redesign of Rogers.

No, it won't be in Avengers: Doomsday, or at least that is TBD, but rather in an entirely different space fans have come to enjoy seeing (and playing) Captain America in. When Marvel Future Fight returns for its 11th anniversary in 2026, the mobile RPG will feature Captain America in his Galactic Talon costume that draws from the console phenomenon Marvel Rivals.

In Marvel Rivals, this variant of Captain America battled "instellar pirates" in Season 0 and colors the original Avenger as much a sentinel as he is a superpowered, super-serum human, and Marvel Future Fight wants in on the creative look as a celebration of the mobile game having successfully been relevant for more than a decade.

If the new costume looks familiar, there's a reason for that.

Time will tell if the first official trailer for Avengers: Doomsday featured Steve Rogers holding his infant daughter who, in Marvel Future Fight, turns out to be Sharon Rogers.

What is clear, however, is that, in the mobile RPG, he sure did like the look of her costume and shield, so much so that his new look is a clear and definitive derivative of it. Sharon Rogers is the daughter of Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter, eventually taking the mantle of Captain America when her father retires — per game canon — and her version of Steve's shield can absorb energy and redirect it as a weapon against her foes, as designed by Tony Stark, because of course.

The younger Rogers made her way to 2017's Marvel Future Fight: An Eye on the Future, a comic by Marc Sumerak and Andrea Di Vito, as well, adding to her overall lore in Marvel.

Marvel Future Fight Teases Captain America's Future In the MCU

It sure would be fun to see the infant in the Avengers: Doomsday trailer, which is undoubtedly the MCU child of Steve and Peggy, turn into this variant of Sharon, so make it happen, Marvel.

In the meantime, there's plenty more to the 11th Anniversary Edition of Marvel Future Fight when it debuts on April 22, including Venom's Snow Symbiote, Moon Knight's Blood Moon Knight, Luna Snow's Mirae 2099, a Selector: Tier-4 Character, Uniform Ticket, 11 Million Gold and events such as the "1 Billion Crystals Sharing Event, Countdown Check-In, Hero Growth Support Event, and Special Check-In," per the official announcement, via ScreenRant.

Longtime players of Marvel Future Fight will undoubtedly be giddy at what's in store when they log in on April 22, the mobile RPG serving as a lovely video game appetizer for what awaits them and Captain America (all of them) at the end of 2026.
