The following contains major spoilers for Nightwing #120, on sale now from DC Comics.
Nightwing's newest enemies have crossed a line that he was never expecting - and it is horrifying.
Nightwing #120 finds the titular hero still continuing his investigation into the secrets behind Spheric Solutions and their automated police drones. Unsurprisingly, things take an explosive turn when Nightwing comes under fire from one of the drones in question. In an even less shocking turn, Spheric Solutions have taken great pains to cover their tracks, yet not even that can keep Nightwing from uncovering the utterly baffling tech behind their creations, specifically in the form of a cuddly little bunny rabbit.

Spheric Solutions is a recent addition to the overarching Nightwing mythos, with their presence in Bludhaven only recently becoming known thanks to the drones they have pledged to lend the city in a bid to turn the tide against its criminal element. While Nightwing is well aware that Spheric Solutions has its own reasons for taking an interest in the city, he has yet to become aware of their status as little more than a front for the malevolent Cirque du Sin. Nightwing has also been unable to find any legitimate reason of pushing back against their arrangement with the city, even in spite of the fact that his own sister, Melinda Zucco, is currently in office as mayor.
The introduction of Spheric Solutions comes hot on the heels of the conclusion of writer Tom Taylor's run on the title, which culminated in the titular hero's final battle with the murderous Shelton Lyle, better known as Heartless. An affluent serial killer with a deep-seated disdain for humanity as a whole, not to mention a profoundly disturbing obsession with Dick Grayson, Heartless terrorized Bludhaven for months on end. Over the course of his killings, Heartless carved the beating hearts from his victims before using them as replacements for his own, eventually proving himself to be more than a mere costumed criminal after cutting down the superpowered Blockbuster.

DC Gives Readers a Glimpse at Elysium – but It’s Still Not Good Enough for One Fan-Favorite Hero
The most important person in Wonder Woman's life has just taken a trip through the valley of the gods, and it pales in comparison to life on Earth.
While Bludhaven has long served as Dick Grayson's chosen home after he left the Bat Cave to embark upon his solo career as Nightwing, it has come back into even more prominence in recent months thanks to the hero's less independent initiatives. Primarily, it is the relocation of the Titans and Titans Tower to Bludhaven that has brought renewed interest in the location. This move came about after the Titans were officially thrust into the shoes of the then disbanded Justice League, who only reformed after the events of Amanda Waller's war on the world's heroes during DC Comics' Absolute Power crossover event.

Batman
Batman is one of the oldest comic superheroes, with nearly a century of comics, TV-shows, films, and video games. The mild-mannered Bruce Wayne becomes Gotham City's caped crusader, protecting it from villains like The Joker, Killer Croc, The Penguin, and more. Batman is also one of DC comics' "Big Three" alongside Superman and Wonder Woman, and together the three help keep the earth safe as founding members of the Justice League.
