On Wednesday, SHP Comics announced that its upcoming NSFW anthology, Tales from EroTech, will be a direct market exclusive when it hits comic shops in December. The Beat has the all the details, and we can reveal writer/artist Dean Haspiel’s story from the collection.
Tales from EroTech Vol. 1 launched on Kickstarter in February and raised nearly $11 thousand from backers. The anthology adapts SHP Entertainment’s award-winning, debut indie film, Technical Support, which hit the festival circuit in 2024. It takes place in the same world as SHP’s upcoming five-issue comics limited series, EroTech, which debuts in November.
Here’s the full synopsis for the anthology:
SHP Comics presents top-tier indie creators stripping down love in the digital age—raw, carnal, and unfiltered. The stories in this provocative anthology fuse lust, obsession and desire into unforgettable visions of cybersex—by turns seductive, intimate, and terrifying. Horror, humor, and XXX erotica collide in a shameless exploration of identity, longing and obsessive impulses. Turn on, strap in, and surrender because it’s going to get messy.
There are eight stories in Tales from EroTech Vol. 1, listed below:
- “Alice 1+2” by Chloe Brailsford
- “No Cause for Alarm” by Alan Flops

“I’ve been thrilled with the response we’ve received from creators and retailers alike. The story for EroTech, a workplace comedy about a Silicon Valley startup that makes sex robots, grew out of my experiences working as a software engineer,” said SHP publisher and creator Shawn Hainsworth.
“I started to think about what it would be like to actually build and debug a working sex robot. We’ve had so much fun working on EroTech, we thought it would be great to get a bunch of talented indie creators to explode the premise into short stories of different styles and genres. The results have been amazing,” Hainsworth continued.
“I think the timing is right for this anthology. We are seeing humorous erotic comics reach an enthusiastic audience in modern comics, and I am excited to see EroTech find a place on shelves alongside classics like Harvey Kurtzman’s Little Annie Fanny, Larry Welz’s Cherry, and of course, Tim Seeley’s new Moneyshot series!” he concluded.
The EroTech limited series follows new Silicon Valley CEO Samantha Jenkins, whose attempt to get her engineers and managers to release the new Model 6000 sex robot on schedule is slowed by a few bugs discovered during routine testing. The first issue hits shops on November 19.
Tales from EroTech Vol. 1 follows two weeks later, making its direct market-exclusive debut on December 10. Preorders are available through Lunar Distribution until October 27.
