Post Malone is taking to the Big Apple. The beloved musical sensation will be in attendance at the con courtesy of Vault Comics, the indie comics publisher responsible for bringing Post’s Big Rig to market.
Vault is hosting “Post Malone’s Big Rig” panel at the Jacob K. Javitz Center on Friday, October 10th, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. as a part of the larger New York Comic Con festivities. Although a press release from Vault itself teases just “special guests” on the panel, PopVerse — owned by NYCC promoter ReedPop — has confirmed Post Malone will, in fact, be one of those special guests.
The panel will be held in Javits Center’s Room 405. As a part of the event, Vault will be selling special variant covers of the single-issue comic featuring artwork by Peach Momoko and Pete Carroll.
The comic is written by Post Malone and Adrian Wassel and has artwork from Barbaric co-creator Nathan Gooden. The story’s synopsis is below.
The Dark Ages…Demon hordes plague Europe as Hell invades Earth. The Six Petals, a secret sect of The Knights Templar, are in desperate need of a means to drive back the scourge and turn the tide of the onslaught. What crashes to earth is The Rig, a fully loaded tractor trailer. In the aftermath of its arrival, the only man left standing is an enigmatic former priest excommunicated from The Six Petals. He will become Trucker and lead the fight against Hell behind the wheel of a demon-slaying machine.
Vault says a feature film adaptation of the comic is already in development with Post Malone, Platinum Dunes, and Vault producing the film. This year, New York Comic Con lasts from Thursday, October 9th until Sunday, October 12th.
