The cover of Psylocke #1 is an ass shot. The splash page is a from-below crotch shot. I guess this series will be focused on the important things about Psylocke.
I know she’s a fan-favorite, but I have yet to read a comic that makes Psylocke compelling. And after reading this, that statement still stands.

She goes to Japan where mediocre writing and art take her through a fairly by-the-numbers ninja story.

Psylocke is up against Matsu’o Tsurayaba, the Hand ninja who was in love with Kwannon. Remember her? She was a Hand ninja, too, and Tsurayaba got Mandarin to help her occupy Psylocke’s body for a time.

Psylocke uses her psychic blade to kill him in the end.
This should be an important chapter for Psylocke, where she finally puts to rest the period where her mind was stolen by Kwannon. But I feel like that was actually resolved back in the ’90s, so this feels kinda … Late.
