Goldin, an internationally-renowned auction house known for rare and record-breaking collectible sales, opened its 2025 Summer Goldin 100 Auction on August 11. The auction includes a selection of 100 luxury, curated collectibles across sports, entertainment, and pop culture, marking iconic moments both past and present.
As the trading card market continues to rise in popularity, the Goldin 100 auction offers no shortage of rare finds. The limited edition 1996-97 Kobe Bryant SkyBox E-X2000 Credentials rookie card is one of just four copies graded at the unimprovable PSA GEM MT 10 tier. This debut-year collectible features a teenage Bryan at the very start of his career who would go on to become a five-time NBA Finals champion, 18-time All-Star, and one of the most influential players in basketball history. Basketball fans can also find coveted Caitlin Clark cards such as the 2024-25 Panini Instant Rookie Royalty Kaboom! Green #1/1 PRISTINE 10 and National Treasures Rookie Patch Autograph Holo #1/1. Additional cards include Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Tom Brady, Shohei Ohtani, Lionel Messi, Tiger Woods, and more.
Summer Goldin 100 includes astounding signed, used, and worn memorabilia such as Muhammad Ali’s fight-worn, signed robe from the “Fight of the Century” against Joe Frazier on March 8, 1971. Worn during one of the most famous bouts in boxing history, this robe is the only time Ali ever entered the ring in red and features Ali’s signature in black marker across the back. Baseball fans are sure to be delighted by a 1932 Babe Ruth game-used, signed Louisville Slugger stemming from the seventh consecutive season in which he eclipsed the 40 home run plateau as well as a circa 1946-47 Babe Ruth single signed OAL Harridge baseball, featuring a remarkably bold and well-preserved signature.
In addition to sports heroes, Summer Goldin 100 offers opportunities for fans of superheroes as well. A major highlight is a sealed copy of Batman #1, released in 1940. The rare, graded comic features the very first appearances of the Joker and Catwoman, named “The Cat.” From the Marvel Universe comes Amazing Fantasy #15 (1962 Marvel) and Incredible Hulk #1 (1962 Marvel), in addition to one of the most highly sought-after Harvey comics Richie Rich #1 (1960 Harvey).
Further, early Nintendo video games include a first production 1986 Donkey Kong – Nintendo’s entry point into the North American market including Donkey Kong, Pauline, and “Jumpman” (later Mario) in their first-ever video game appearances. Interested buyers can also find a first production Donkey Kong Jr. from the same year, a rare, first production 1987 Mega Man, and three sealed Game Boy Advance Pokèmon Games: Emerald, Silver, and LeafGreen.
Known for featuring the crème de la crème of collectibles on the public market, Goldin 100 Auctions showcase an array of rare items that appeal to seasoned collectors and fans of popular culture, alike. From pristine, coveted sports trading cards and game-used equipment to comic books and artwork, each piece serves as a marker of history and will become the crown jewel of any collection.
