In a short amount of time, fans will be able to pick up the ending of Resident Alien for themselves: Resident Alien: One More for the Road from Dark Horse Comics. The upcoming one-shot, from the series creators Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, which is slated to arrive in stores on April 15, will offer readers one last interstellar adventure to cap off Harry's epic journey.

The official solicit synopsis for Resident Alien: One More for the Road from Dark Horse Comics reads, "Outside of Patience, USA, former federal agent Jones and the alien representatives from Harry's home planet are inviting nations beyond the U.S. to work with them in helping Earth join the Circle of Worlds."

The solicit text continues, "Meanwhile, in Patience, Harry covers for Ethan at the clinic, but danger is closing in. Will Harry’s secret finally be revealed? Find out in this one-shot finale, as Hogan and Parkhouse's hit sci-fi series comes to a close!"

Hogan and Parkhouse's original Resident Alien premiered in 2012 and quickly established a foothold with comic book and sci-fi fans alike. The series introduced Hah Re, a powerful alien stranded on Earth who takes on the guise of Harry Vanderspiegle, the local doctor in the small town of Patience. Unsurprisingly, Harry's story quickly spirals into a variety of hilarious and harrowing directions alike.

In 2021, the live-action television adaptation of Resident Alien starring Alan Tudyk premiered, giving the series a wider audience than ever before. Like the comics before it, the Resident Alien television series proved successful, running for 44 episodes over four seasons before coming to a close in 2025. In that time, Resident Alien was nominated for over a dozen major industry awards, with wins including Best Cable Series, Comedy at the 2021 Hollywood Critics Association Television Awards.

Resident Alien writer and co-creator Peter Hogan recently discussed how Resident Alien: One More for the Road will not only test Harry himself, but bring the series' narrative back around to where it all began for its unlikely hero. "At the very beginning of this story, Harry Vanderspeigle was lying low because he was scared about what might happen to him if he got caught," Hogan explained. "His own race had warned him just how dangerous Earth people could be. Now we're going to find out just how right they were."

Resident Alien: One More for the Road from Dark Horse Comics goes on sale on April 15.
