“Return To Sleepy Hollow – Part 03”
The number of deaths in Sleepy Hollow has reached an alarming rate. As Katrina Van Tassel and her Undertaker, Lily Dale, scramble to make room for the newly deceased, Ichabod Crane escalates his search for answers. The victims in this case seem unrelated. Unlike those slain fifteen years ago by an undead horseman, there is no witch scheming for family wealth and inheritance.
Upstairs, in the Van Tassel Mortuary, Maggie Dale and Young Masbath have convinced Lotte to perform a séance. Katrina’s daughter has demonstrated her ability to share her visions through the power of touch. As the three begin to hold hands, familiar places and things begin to flood their minds. Then Masbath sees a thing his elders convinced him was unreal. The Tree of the Dead!
Are demonic plants overtaking the town of Sleep Hollow? Who is spreading false rumors about Katrina Van Tassel’s past? Will Ichabod discover the true relationship between Lotte and himself? Collect the series to find out!
Review
This is another fantastic chapter in the Return To Sleepy Hollow. I may be totally wrong here, but the Headless Horseman could be absent from Casey Gilly’s sequel. That’s too bad, as the Horseman is the main appeal of the original story. Nonetheless, I give issue three a solid four out of five stars.
