The Marvel Universe has a brand new kaiju, and she is every bit the hero the world needs.
Chasm: Curse of Kaine #4 finds New York City in the midst of another violent uprising courtesy of the Mole Man and his fellow Subterranean dwellers. While Kaine and Hallows' Eve do the best they can to stave off the threat of swarms of miniscule Moloids, it isn't long before the fight is taken to new heights with the appearance of the towering Giganto. Luckily, Hallows' Eve has a mask to match the competition, and soon enough she is squaring off against Giganto as Marvel's latest kaiju superhero.

The events of Chasm: Curse of Kaine have come about as a result of the machinations of the Eternal schemer known as Druig. Thanks to Ben Reilly's currently fractured mental state as Chasm, he has become a prime target for Druig's psychic manipulations. This has turned Ben against not just his beloved Janine, but against his fellow clone/brother, Kaine Parker, the latter of whom came looking for Ben for reasons entirely unrelated to the current conflict.
First seen in the pages of in the pages of 1995's Spider-Man: The Lost Years #1 by writer J.M. DeMatteis and artist John Romita Jr., the woman known now as Janine Godbe escaped a traumatic and violent upbringing by killing her abusive father and embarking on a new life under an assumed name. When Janine's travels brought her to Salt Lake City, she crossed paths with Ben Reilly, who was in the midst of an identity crisis unlike any she had ever seen. The two found a fast kinship in one another, not to mention a fiery romance, one which came to an end when Janine turned herself in for her past crimes.

A Classic Marvel Super Team Has a Terrifying New Lineup
One of the most lethal teams of Marvel heroes has just made a much-needed comeback, but this time around they aren't the good guys.
After Ben signed on as Beyond Corporation's very own corporate-owned Spider-Man, they managed to negotiate for Janine's release as a means of further endearing the original Spider-Clone to their cause. Although Beyond Corporation's manipulations of Ben's memory and mental state led to an explosive encounter between him and Peter Parker, Janine stayed by his side throughout it all, even after his tragic transformation into the villainous Chasm. It was during the early days of Ben's partnership with Madelyne Pryor and the forces of Limbo when Janine was given a magic bag full of Halloween masks with transformative properties, leading to her rise as the unlikely antihero - Hallows' Eve.

Spider-Man
Since his first appearance in 1962, Spider-Man has almost always been Marvel Comics' most popular character. Known for his sense of humor and bad luck as well as his selflessness and super-strength, Spider-Man has helmed countless titles over the years, Spider-Man's most prominent comics include The Amazing Spider-Man, Web of Spider-Man, and Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man.
Peter Parker was the original Spider-Man but the Spider-Verse has become an important part of the character's lore in recent years. Multiversal and future Spider-Men include Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, Miguel O'Hara and Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham. This provided the premise for the popular Spider-Verse film trilogy, which makes Miles its primary hero.
Spider-Man is also the basis of several live-action film franchises and numerous animated television series. He is one of the most recognizable characters in the world. While he's changed a lot over the decades, Steve Ditko and Stan Lee gave the world an unforgettable hero when they created Spider-Man.
