The Gallery – Take a Look at Some of the Amazing Art from February’s Two In-Person Gosh! Comics and Broken Frontier Drink and Draw Evenings!

1 day ago 4

Last year the Gosh! Comics and Broken Frontier Drink and Draw – an event that has been running in multiple versions online and in-person since the summer of 2015 – returned to real world meet-ups in the Royal George pub in Soho, London. The evening involves two guest artists and a cartoonist-in-residence (the incomparable Mark Stafford) who set three drawing theme challenges for attendees to interpret over the course of the evening. A format I came up with 11 years ago and which has served us well over the years.

As we have been back doing this for a few months now we thought it might be a nice idea to share some of the art from the night here each month at BF. We had two meet-ups in February with guest artists including Rein Lee, Skai Campbell, Dix and Matthew Dooley, and myself and Gosh’s Will Humberstone hosting. What follows is a showcase of the art produced on those evenings. If you were there and want to add your illos to the gallery please get in touch with me here. Look for an announcement about the March D&D here very soon.

Just imagine ‘Cavatina’ playing in the background as you peruse the work below (that’s probably not a reference for the young people in the audience…)
