The following contains major spoilers for One World Under Doom #7, on sale September 10 from Marvel Comics.

Doctor Doom just dealt a blow to the heroes of the Marvel Universe that they might never recover from, especially now that everyone knows exactly where they are.

In a preview of One World Under Doom #7 (by Ryan North, R.B. Silva, David Curiel, and VC's Travis Lanham) from Marvel Comics, readers find the world at large reeling from the would-be supreme ruler of the Earth, revealing the horrible truth behind his reign. As news pundits and ordinary folk alike struggle to come to terms with this revelation, Doom himself is set on preemptively crushing any attempts to rise up against him. Rather than taking any overt action against the likes of the Avengers, however, Doom instead decides to let the rest of the world deal with his problems for him, specifically by publishing their names and addresses for everyone and anyone to comb through for themselves.

The overarching story of One World Under Doom has been slowly building up for more than a year at this point, and the results have been nothing less than explosive. Back in 2024, Doctor Doom used the events of Marvel Comics' Blood Hunt to his advantage to claim the mantle of the Sorcerer Supreme as his own. At the time, Doctor Strange's physical body had been reduced to a vampiric thrall, while his spirit was unable to fight back as he otherwise might. As such, Strange had no choice but to relinquish his position to Doom, which was just one step in the process towards the infamous villain claiming total dominion over the entire world.

Back in February, Doom launched his all-out assault on the world at large, though not in as overly violent a manner as fans would have expected from him. Surprisingly, the vast majority of world governments and citizens seemed to have no real issue with Doom's takeover, at least not openly. The heroes of Earth, on the other hand, have taken great pains to fight back against Doom's global regime. Of course, that has been far easier said than done, as Doom now has almost limitless resources at his disposal, not to mention even greater power than he has wielded at almost any other point in his comic book career.

Only two issues of One World Under Doom remain, and readers are waiting in eager anticipation of what comes next as the entire world's heroes push back against the series' eponymous villain. One World Under Doom #8 promises that, while the heroes are willing to do whatever it takes ot bring Doom down, the Latverian dictator is also willing to cross lines he previously hasn't if it means securing his reign.

The official solicit synopsis for One World Under Doom #8 reads, "Doom battles the combined might of an entire world to maintain his control: But can even he stand against the Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four... and every other hero on Earth? It seems like all hope is lost: until a desperate gambit gives the heroes exactly what they need to win! But Doom has a desperate gambit of his own: one that, though it's never been attempted before, combines all his sorcery and science into a single brutal attack. It all leads to a shocking conclusion — with consequences that will reverberate throughout the entire Marvel Universe in this penultimate issue!"

One World Under Doom #7 goes on sale September 10 from Marvel Comics.
