Monnaie de Paris (The Paris Mint) has announced an exclusive coin collection commemorating the 90th anniversary of DC Comics, featuring iconic superheroes and villains rendered in gold and silver. The collection highlights characters such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Catwoman, and the Joker, combining historical craftsmanship with modern design to appeal to collectors worldwide.
The series includes colorized 10-Euro silver coins depicting Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, available individually or as complete sets. Circulating-quality silver coins showcase character pairings including Batman with the Joker, Wonder Woman with Cheetah, and the Joker with Harley Quinn, with prices ranging from €13 to €15. Premium offerings include 50-Euro silver coins, 5-Euro and 50-Euro gold coins, and high-value 250-Euro and 500-Euro gold editions such as the Batman "Justice" and Superman "Honor" coins.
Collectors investing €265 or more in the second wave of 10-Euro silver coins will receive a limited award certificate, available to the first 2,500 purchasers. A specially designed collector's box preserves and displays the full Wave 1 series, providing an elegant presentation for both display and long-term safekeeping.
Each coin reflects Monnaie de Paris' centuries-old minting expertise, employing hand-modeled bas-reliefs, precision die striking, and refined engraving techniques. The reverse of each coin features oak and laurel branches symbolizing strength and victory, alongside the inscription "République Francaise" and a motif evoking the French hexagon.
