“The Tempest – Part 04”

Man down! The Singh Brotherhood was waiting for the Phantom with their snipers. Even a ghost can’t hide from the latest generation of night vision goggles. Two cracks ring out in the dark jungle, at least one mercenary hits his target. But where is the body?

In the chaos that erupts throughout the Bandar village courtyard, Guran races to the Phantom’s side in an attempted rescue. The son of the tribal chief must be deathly silent. Both animal and insect lifeforms have frozen in terror. Their droning background noise is no longer sufficient to mask a man running through the underbrush. Guran must move his wounded friend now before the window of opportunity closes. To the Phantom Cave they must retreat!

Will Asif Singh order the execution of the Bandar children in retribution for his losses in manpower? Is Guran skilled enough to evade professionally trained trackers? Can Diana Palmer bring the Phantom back from near death? Collect the series to find out!

Review

Issue four of Mad Cave’s Phantom was short and sweet. There was less action and more focus on the Phantom being wounded. Diana Palmer has more of a role as she has to patch up the boys. She seems quite vulnerable alone in the Phantom Cave. One would think there would be more modern defenses.  At least put a door on the place. I give this issue three out of five stars.
