“The Tempest – Part 05”

Asif Singh could not believe his eyes. Guran did not manufacture the legend. The forefathers of the Brotherhood had told the truth. The Phantom was real and standing directly in front of him.

Yet, the Ghost Who Walks is heavily bandaged and in a weakened state. The Phantom was nothing more than a man wearing a mask. Asif could kill a man in a mask. It was time to end this charade and bring the Bandar Tribe under control of the Singh Brotherhood. The drug trade will benefit from the additional slave labor. Asif motions to his men to open fire. Say goodbye to the legend.

Will the Brotherhood mercenaries follow orders and execute the Bandar children? Is Guran the only one left who can defend his village? Where have the Sky Band helicopters gone in the face of defeat? Collect the series to find out!

Review

We reach the conclusion of the Singh Brotherhood storyline, and it was not what I expected. The Bandar Village has secrets. Secrets I do not wish to spoil. I will just say that this was a fun miniseries and leave it there.

Readers who thrive on superheroes laden with mutant powers or meta-human-like abilities may not enjoy this series. The Phantom is a man who relies on his intelligence and physical prowess over anything else. He is a hero of the golden age of comic books. We need more of these in this age of uncertainty. I will certainly collect the next installment in Mad Cave’s Phantom series, “The Phantom Vs. The Sky Band” releasing next month.

Issue five receives a solid three out of five stars from me. The series as a whole is a four-star escape into the jungles of Africa. I recommend this series to anyone who is into action and adventure comic books.
