Fans’ ears tend to perk up any time they hear that Kevin Eastman, the co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is diving back into the sewers with a contribution to the world of the heroes in a half shell. And given the freedom that comes with animation, it’s very easy to bring back characters fans haven’t seen in a very long time, so long as they fit into the narrative of the story that is being told.
Which is why TMNT fans should brace for the return of none other than Ice Cream Kitty when issues 30 and 31 of the comic series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Saturday Morning Adventures hit shelves in November.
Dedicated TMNT fans will know that Ice Cream Kitty was a character created back in 2012 for the hit Turtles animated series. In addition, Ice Cream Kitty was originally voiced by Eastman, lending a little more juice to this anticipated “reunion.”

Ice Cream Kitty appeared a few times in the comics that were based on that specific incarnation of the Turtles, but this is the character's debut in the Saturday Morning Adventures series at IDW.
Here is the Solicit Text for the issues:
Seymour Gutz has become the Mutagen Man again, and he’s randomly mutating New Yorkers all over the city! In fact... he’s even mutated Michelangelo! (Did you know you could further mutate a mutant? The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sure didn’t!) The Turtles need to get Seymour back to TCRI to formulate a cure — but first they need to rescue him from the Shredder, who has captured him with the desire for the Mutagen Man to create an army of mutants!
