Wolverine and Kitty go to Wundagore to see if they can find Magneto, who they suspect is hiding there. Once there, they’re hailed as prophesized heroes and have some adventures with the New Men (evolved from animals by High Evolutionary).
Bova and others have been in hiding as some unknown threat has been preying on the New Men. Wolverine believes it’s Magneto, but it turns out to be Man-Beast.
The pair save the day, and along the way Kitty is mutated into a cat for a bit.
