World premiere of UMAMUSUME: CINDERELLA GRAY 2nd cour set for Hollywood

1 week ago 20

The second cour of the popular anime Umamusume: Cinderella Gray is set to make its world premiere at Global Stage Hollywood at the TCL Chinese Theater on October 4, 2025, at 1:30 PM PT, ahead of its Japanese broadcast. The free event is part of the annual Global Stage Hollywood film festival, and fans can RSVP online to attend.

The anime, based on the Umamusume: Pretty Derby franchise developed by Cygames, follows girls known as umamusume—each inheriting the names and spirits of real-life racehorses—as they pursue victory in the prestigious Twinkle Series while navigating school life. Cinderella Gray centers on Oguri Cap, a countryside racer who shakes up Japan’s national racing scene, facing off against top competitors like Tamamo Cross and other international racers.

The second cour will be available for streaming in October 2025 on the It’s Anime FAST channel via Samsung TV Plus, the It’s Anime YouTube channel, Prime Video, ADN, and Anime Onegai in select territories, with simulcast streaming following shortly after the Japanese broadcast.

Directed by Takehiro Miura and produced by CygamesPictures, the series features character designs from Yosuke Fukumoto, Keigo Sasaki, and Takuya Miyahara, with music by Kenji Kawai. The voice cast includes Tomoyo Takayanagi as Oguri Cap, Momoko Seto as Belno Light, Naomi Ohzora as Tamamo Cross, and many more. The band 10-FEET performs the second cour opening theme.

Umamusume: Cinderella Gray continues to expand the franchise’s legacy, which already spans games, anime, music, and manga, and has over 8 million copies in circulation in Weekly Young Jump.
