Absolute Batman #20's cover has been teased by artist Nick Dragotta, promising the reveal of a crucial Bat-Fam member.

"Today, DC revealed the (redacted) main cover to ABSOLUTE BATMAN #20, illustrated by series artist Nick Dragotta. The full, unredacted version will be revealed in early April, following the publication of Absolute Batman #19," an official press release from DC Comics reads.

The press release shared a bit more insight into what DC Comics fans can look forward to upon Absolute Batman #20's arrival in May 2026. "As the dust settles in the city of Gotham after the loss of [redacted], [redacted] enter the scene ready to hunt — and more than one secret will be revealed in this seminal issue," the solicit teases, while intentionally leaving "redacted" in their synopsis.

As to what fans can expect from Absolute Robin, DC Comics has omitted any major details about the Boy Wonder's yet-to-be-revealed revamping. Those who are looking forward to the impending arrival are asked to patiently wait until after Absolute Batman #19 is released, with its release date set for April 8. DC Comics' Absolute Universe has expertly navigated the re-introduction of its age-old heroes and villains through an inspired, grounded, and unpredictable lens.

Fans Are Already Memeing On Absolute Robin

Batman leaps into battle

To no surprise, the internet has already celebrated the arrival of Robin in the Absolute Universe through a very online fashion: memes. X user @TheGraySon72 commented "Absolute Robin is in the house," with a gif from Teen Titans Go! that features an ultra-buff Robin. With the Absolute Universe's character designs being so dramatic, in the most compelling way, it wouldn't be a surprise if this joke wasn't too far off from whatever Dragotta has in store. Considering the current quality of Absolute Batman at the moment, it's highly anticipated that Dragotta's reinvention of Robin will both stun and surprise eager audiences.

Others chimed in on the digital fun, expressing their excitement about the yet-to-be-released volume through similar comments about an impending Absolute Robin's potential physique. "Robin's about to be built like main universe Batman," @AxelTalksFilm remarked in Absolute Batman writer Snyder's X thread. @harryjackson225 simply offered a gif of Burt Ward's Robin spouting out a classic one-liner that defined the character in early media. Ironically or not, it's possible that Dragotta's inspiration for Robin could be pulled from Robin's earlier appearances that shaped his popularity today.

@DCFilmNews successfully summarized the online memeing through a singular edit that captures most of the internet's less-serious thoughts about Absolute Robin finally making his way into one of DC Comics' most refreshing runs in decades. "ABSOLUTE ROBIN," their post reads, while revisiting an impossibly-muscular Teen Titans Go! Robin once again.
