Pop culture is a never-ending world of updates, teases, trailers, and hopefully releases. What’s New Wednesday is Dorkaholics’ way to keep us all up to date with what’s new across comics, TV, film, games, and more! This week, the focus is on “Company Retreat”, “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2, “Bait”, and “They Will Kill You”.
- Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat – Trailer
In the follow-up to “Jury Duty”, the documentary-style comedy now takes place at a “Company Retreat” and centers on a new temp worker of a family-owned business. For those familiar with the original series, everything is fake from the company to the coworkers, besides one person who is led to believe everything is real. With the ironic comedy of jokes falling flat and a corporate takeover at the center of the plotline, the premise makes me imagine what “Succession” would be like if a real person was suddenly dropped into that series.
Release Date: On Prime Video on March 20, 2026
Synopsis: Anthony, a real temp, is hired at Rockin’ Grandma’s Hot Sauce (a fake company) for its annual retreat – the final one for the company’s CEO Doug before retirement. Doug’s son Dougie Jr. struggles to prove his leadership abilities while a polished private-equity team courts the company for acquisition.
- Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 – Trailer
It goes without saying that I am loving the use of Childish Gambino in this teaser trailer for season 2 of “Daredevil: Born Again”, and excited to see the return of Jessica Jones in the MCU.
Release Date: On Disney+ on March 24, 2026
Synopsis: Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Mayor Wilson Fisk/Kingpin will find themselves on a collision course, as they both fight for the future of New York City.
- Bait – First Look Clip
In this first look clip at “Bait”, we get a glimpse into the family of Shah Latif, played by Riz Ahmed, as they react with overexcitement as well as unnecessary remarks to the potential news that Shah will be the next lead of a major franchise. Yes, this movie is about an actor so Riz Ahmed will be playing a role of a role.
Release Date: On Prime Video on March 25, 2026
Synopsis: Riz Ahmed stars as Shah Latif, a struggling actor, whose last chance to hit it big comes in the form of an audition of a lifetime. The series follows him over the course of four wild days as his life spirals out of control and his family, ex-lover and the entire world weigh in on whether he is the right man for the job.
- They Will Kill You – Trailer
From the director of “IT” and “The Flash”, comes a new multigenre film that touches on horror, action, and comedy. “They Will Kill You” stars a talented cast of familiar faces including Zazie Beetz (“Atlanta”, “Joker”), Myha’La (“Industry”), Paterson Joseph (“Wonka”), Tom Felton (The “Harry Potter” series), Heather Graham (“The Hangover”), and Patricia Arquette (“Severance”).
Release Date: In theaters on March 27, 2026
Synopsis: A young woman must survive the night at the Virgil, a demonic cult’s mysterious and twisted death-trap of a lair, before becoming their next offering in a uniquely brazen, big screen battle of epic kills and wickedly dark humor.
