 - Published by journalist Orrin C. Evans, this one-shot issue is the first comic book written, drawn and produced by African-Americans. The lead story introduces Ace Harlem, a black detective hunting down the murderers of a local restaurant owner. Other tales feature a variety of black characters: Dew Dillies (a pair of pixies), Lion Man (a heroic protector based in Africa) and Sugarfoot & Snake Oil (two hobo musicians). This
