All-Select Comics 70th Anniversary Special (2009)

Two stories in this, the latest 70th Anniversary One Shot. These continue to be surprisingly entertaining, and this one points up an error on my site. The first story stars Golden Age hero Blonde Phantom, who I failed to tag when she appeared in many issues of John Byrne’s She-Hulk run because she didn’t seem to have powers or a vigilante identity.

Oh well.

In this tale, she comes out of retirement to investigate the murder of an ex-BF. It’s a good story with great art and layouts.

It’s followed by a story about Marvex the Super Robot in his only modern appearance.

The story is told by Michael Kupperman in an off-beat and indie kinda style, just like the first story.

Another great issue.
