I was a big fan of Marvel Team-Up in the ’70s/’80s, which offered a different Spider-Man partnership every month (except for a few where Human Torch allied with another hero–and those were never as good).
Here, we have a Venom team-up. Sort of.
Eddie Brock is now Anti-Venom. He teams up with Punisher to beat up a drug cartel. Brock’s “redemption” from villain to hero is the theme, and works well when balanced against Punisher–who doesn’t give a $#!t whether you think of him as a hero or not.
I should add: This is the “Matt Fraction” Punisher, who is armed with various items of stolen gear (Green Goblin’s glider, Ant-Man’s helmet, etc.).
This is a fine, street-level story.
