This is a fairly standard Warren Ellis kind of plot: A mutant named Kaga was an embryo when the bomb dropped on Hiroshima, and the nuclear radiation made him born deformed.

But he was also highly intelligent. As a young adult, he became a genetic researcher–using brood DNA and bio-sentinel tech to create giant sentinels and other monsters and resurrect dead mutants like Wallflower.

Abigail Brand’s SWORD discovers his lab (in space), and destroys it, but in the process the X-Men become aware of Kaga.
They go after Kaga and are faced with a hybrid of the living island Krakoa and brood cells.

That’s pretty cool.

The X-Men captured Kaga he was imprisoned by SWORD. Pretty sure he’s never seen again.
Pretty decent sci-fi story. Nice to read something that has nothing to do with Dark Reign.
Emma Frost continues to be one of the more fun characters in this series. We learn she likes to dress the younger X-Men like dominatrixes.

But she comes home to Scott.

In the beginning, I didn’t like Scott falling for Emma but now I dig her more than Jean Grey. I mean, honestly, who would YOU rather be dating?
