Ed Brubaker’s run on Daredevil, like several that preceded his, is mostly just one long story–but in this annual we get a one-and-done story.
Much of the action is kind of random in this annual. Not bad, just random.
The main story is: Black Tarantula gets early release from Rikers and a parole job as a security guard for Nelson and Murdock. Like Matt Murdock, that’s just what he does by day. At night, he puts his costume back on, partners up with Daredevil, and fights crime.
When the two of them bust up a mob hideout, Black Tarantula decides to steal the mob’s money, knock DD out, and run away.
You just can’t get good help these days.
