DC Comics is giving Harley Quinn two new looks — And a spot on the Justice League Unlimited roster.

With the final chapter of the ongoing DC K.O. event only weeks away, fans are eagerly waiting to see what the future of the DC Universe looks like following Lex Luthor's upcoming battle against Darkseid. Among the biggest developments that readers are already aware of is the expansion of the Justice League Unlimited to include various characters who are usually villains, including Harley Quinn, or at least one half of her.

As it turns out, readers can look forward to seeing Harley Quinn split into two distinct characters, each of which embodies a unique side to her chaotic character. One of these, the more rational half, will return to her former career as a psychiatrist, whereas Harley's overtly explosive persona will step into a new role as Batquinn. Readers can catch a glimpse of these personas on the main covers for Justice League Unlimited #18 and Harley Quinn #61, both set to be released on April 22, down below.

The next big shakeup to Justice League Unlimited's already staggering roster comes as a result of the near cataclysmic events of DC K.O., which has seen dozens of the DC Universe's most powerful figures come together to duke it out until only one is left to face Darkseid. As of now, that figure is Lex Luthor, and if he fails, there might not be a Multiverse for anyone to call home anymore.

What To Expect From Justice League Unlimited #18

The official solicit synopsis for Justice League Unlimited #18 from DC Comics reads, "Unlimited? Definitely. United? Hardly. The strongest voices in the Justice League have begun granting amnesty — and membership — to super-villains, and mutiny is brewing! Plus: Guy Gardner leads a mission that will have startling consequences for the entire galaxy!"

Regarding what readers can expect from the massive change to Harley Quinn's personal status quo, the official solicit synopsis for Harley Quinn #61 explains, "Okay, so I mayyyy have left a little something out of that last description. I ain't the only Quinn in town these days. Ya see, my rational, non-fun-loving brain parts have taken a body of their own, and she's claiming my doctorate as her own."

The synopsis continues, "You can't do that! I created Facebook! What do you mean she's wired in?! This is a real Dr. Jackass and Ms. Hyde situation, except we both got so tired of each other that we moved out and got our own bodies!"

Apart from Harley herself, readers can look forward to a whole host of fan-favorite DC Comics villains joining Justice League Unlimited in the weeks to come, ranging from King Shark to Cheetah to the Main Man himself — Lobo. Perhaps most surprising of all, Lex Luthor looks to be making a place for himself in the Justice League Unlimited's Watchtower, which will surely be the source of plenty of problems for his new, more heroic compatriots in the near future.

Justice League Unlimited #18 and Harley Quinn #61 from DC Comics will both arrive in comic book stores everywhere on April 22.

The Justice League, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter, pose together on the Justice League of America Vol. 1 comic cover.
