The following contains spoilers for Wiccan: Witches' Road #3, on sale now from Marvel Comics.

After being a breakout character on Agatha All Along, Billy Kaplan-Altman, Wiccan is starring in his own miniseries. The concept of the series is that his husband, fellow former Avenger, Hulkling (Teddy Altman), was badly injured in the intergalactic conflagration that ended with the Kree-Skrull Empire (of which Teddy was the Emperor of) being torn asunder. The only way to survive was for Billy to bring them back to Earth.

Well, once back on Earth, Billy realized that his magical powers no longer worked. He had been the demiurge of Earth, but since he had seemingly "abandoned" Earth, the demiurge has abandoned him, as well. So he needs to get his powers back, and so he has agreed to go on a magical journey down the Witches' Road to get his powers back.

Along the way, the powerful magical being known as the Baba Yaga (who is clearly manipulating Billy for SOME sort of plan) has given Billy some weapons, a new costume, and an ally, a powerful witch trapped as a fox named Nameless (since Baba Yaga won't allow the sorcerer to have their name), but also turned Teddy into a marionette (Billy didn't want to leave him behind with the Baba Yaga, so she said, fine, I'll turn him into a marionette, and it's on you to keep him protected).

In the last issue, they encountered the Demiurge, which is now in the form of a little girl, who was teaming up with Fin Fang Foom to attack a Roxxon operation (that was polluting the Earth, and the demiurge is all about protecting the planet). Now, Billy has to work with the Demiurge to be reunited once more, and we'll see how that goes (and how Scarlet Witch and Storm factor in) in this CBR exclusive preview of next week's Wiccan: Witches' Road #3 by Wyatt Kennedy, Andy Pereira, Bryan Valenza, and Ariana Maher).

IN THE BATTLE FOR MAGIC AND BILLY’S SOUL, WHO WILL WIN? NATURE OR NURTURE?

• Wiccan’s journey on the Witches’ Road begins to have ripple effects as the Avengers become aware of magical mischief spreading across the globe!

• Plus, evil reveals her face…and it’s NOT Agatha Harkness!

• P.S. The Weather Goddess herself, Storm, might have some thoughts about tampering with elementals…

32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

In the preview pages, since the Demiurge is an elemental force, Scarlet Witch senses its powers (for the whole magical side of things) and Storm senses its powers (for the whole elemental side of things), and so Scarlet Witch and Storm, who are currently teammates on the Avengers, decide to go investigate.

We then see Billy try to relate with the Demiurge (who he has missed), but the Demiurge is irked at Billy for abandoning it (and Earth).

While they are talking, Roxxon operative show up and open fire on them, and Billy has to use his non-magical abilities to stop them (with help from Nameless and the Demiurge).

If you want to see what happens next, you'll have to pick up a copy of Wiccan: Witches' Road #3 next week!
