Former radio assistant Leslie Kuhn has filed suit against longtime talk host Howard Stern, saying he created a hostile work environment while she worked for him and his wife, Beth. Kuhn told TMZ that Stern wanted her to move into the couple’s 20,000-square-foot Southampton mansion while managing their household staff and personal affairs.
Kuhn said she oversaw payroll, scheduling, and operations related to Beth Stern’s at-home cat rescue and fostering projects. She described the setting as chaotic and stressful, blaming a poorly managed rescue operation and questionable business practices for causing anxiety and emotional strain during her employment.
Her complaint disputes a nondisclosure agreement Stern’s legal team says she signed. Kuhn argues the document is not valid, saying it contains nothing more than her typed name without legitimate signatures. She’s asking a court to void the NDA so she can share more details about her time with the Sterns.
Stern, once known for his confrontational on-air style, has turned his attention toward progressive politics in recent years. The shock jock publicly endorsed Joe Biden in 2020, and Kamala Harris in 2024, and frequently criticizes former President Donald Trump, almost on a daily basis. Last year, Stern said he canceled his Disney+ subscription to support late-night host Jimmy Kimmel after online reports claimed Trump had pressured ABC and Disney to remove Kimmel from television.
Now, after decades of defiant fame, the radio icon faces renewed scrutiny, not for his crude interviews or poor ratings, but for how he allegedly treated the people working behind the scenes.
