Hulk vs. Fin Fang Foom (2008)

Hulk vs. Fin Fang Foom came out soon after Hulk fought the entire planet in a world war so from that perspective it’s a little underwhelming.  But it’s written by Peter David with incredible art by Jorge Lucas (drawing in the style of Herb Trimpe), and it’s got Fin Fang freakin’ Foom so…Yeah.  It’s fun.

Basically Bruce Banner stumbles into a remote base full of scientists and they accidentally awaken Fin Fang.

The best part is when Foom steps on Hulk and tries to convince him to join forces. Hulk declines the offer and throws him all the way to the moon.

Sadly, the big fight is only a few pages and the story is short.  The rest of the issue is reprints.  There’s also this fact page about Foom…

It’s billed as a “lost tale” so it doesn’t clearly fit in continuity.
