The official solicit synopsis for Conan: Scourge of the Serpent #4 from Heroic Signatures and Titan Comics reads, "CONAN OF CIMMERIA has encountered Stygian sorcery and snakesent creatures many times in his grand adventures, but he has never faced the true unspeakable power of SET… until NOW."
"The serpent god's influence coils around the Hyborian Age and every other age linked to it. Three stunning supernatural stories will weave together to answer a chilling question of past and present - What is Set's grand plan for humanity and, now that it's begun, can it be stopped?"
Conan the Cimmerian, better known as Conan the Barbarian, first appeared all the way back in 1932 in a series of fantasy short stories by author Robert E. Howard. Originally published in the pages of Weird Tales, these stories laid the foundation for what has gone on to become one of the most iconic multimedia franchises in all of pop culture.
Back in 2022, it was announced that Titan Comics and Heroic Signatures had acquired the rights to Conan the Barbarian following the character's most recent stint at Marvel Comics. Titan Comics and Heroic Signatures' take on the franchise began in 2023 with the publication of Conan #1 by writer Jim Zub, artist Roberto De La Rotte, and colorist José Villarrubia, which the publishers promised would "kick off a brand-new, exhilarating series of comics of characters from across the Conan and wider Robert E. Howard mythos!"
2025 proved to be a major year for the Conan line of titles from Titan Comics and Heroic Signatures, with titles like Conan: Scourge of the Serpent being just one of several major releases over the course of the year. In October, Conan the Barbarian #25 arrived in stores, offering readers an oversized one-shot full of all the sword-and-sorcery action fans love.
Later that same month, the original Cimmerian returned in the pages of The Savage Sword of Conan: Reforged #1. This new series revitalized classic Conan stories from the black-and-white magazine era via full-color restorations, giving readers the chance to experience the work of legendary artists like Barry Windsor-Smith in an entirely new way.
Conan: Scourge of the Serpent #4 goes on sale January 7 from Heroic Signatures and Titan Comics.
