The X-Men's Storm is about to meet the daughter she didn't think she would ever get the chance to have.

As the Shadows of Tomorrow comes to a close, Marvel Comics is preparing to send the X-Men hurtling into their next explosive era. Among the mutant heroes who are slated for major shakeups in the months to come is Ororo Munroe, better known as Storm, who is about to meet the daughter she wasn't sure she would ever actually have.

With the release of Storm: Earth's Mightiest Mutant #4 in May, the young Furaha will finally be making her proper Marvel Comics debut. The character was first glimpsed in 2025's X-Men: Hellfire Vigil #1, which gave readers (and Storm herself) a brief glimpse at the budding mutant powerhouse.

Although the identity of Furaha's father was not specifically stated, fans believe that they can point toward none other than Wolverine in that regard. During her brief appearance in X-Men: Hellfire Vigil #1, Furaha explains that she inherited both her parents' mutant powers, as well as her father's fangs and black hair. All of this together, coupled with Logan and Storm's previous romantic interest in one another, seems to indicate that Wolverine is indeed Furaha's father, though there is still plenty of ground to cover before the truth is revealed.

Storm: Earth's Mightiest Mutant writer Murewa Ayodele opened up about Furaha's upcoming debut in the Marvel Universe, stating, "I love Furaha so much. Every fan art of hers I see warms my heart. It brought me great pleasure to finally get to write Storm and Furaha interacting together on the page. I find their exchanges extremely wholesome."

The impending meeting between Storm and Furaha in Storm: Earth's Mightiest Mutant #4 will take place against the backdrop of one of the mutant hero's most harrowing eras, which itself has been spun out of one of the Marvel Universe's biggest conflicts. Over the past two years, readers have watched on as Storm established her own Storm Sanctuary, from which she has kept watch over nearly every corner of the globe.

Unfortunately for her, the Storm Sanctuary only made the X-Men icon that much more of a target, not just for her Earthly enemies, but for forces that hail from beyond the mortal plane. In the past year, Storm has ascended to the mantle of the Eternal Storm, during which she was largely possessed by Eternity itself, which came just before her explosive conflict with the likes of Susa-No-O-Izumo, the Shinto god of the storm and seas, whom Ororo only recently trapped within a pocket dimension rather than slaying to keep her world safe.

Storm: Earth's Mightiest Mutant #4 from Marvel Comics goes on sale on May 6.

Since their debut in 1963, Marvel's X-Men have been more than just another superhero team. While the team really hit its stride as the All New, All Different X-Men in 1975, Marvel's heroic mutants have always operated as super-outcasts, protecting a world that hates and fears them for their powers.

Key members of the X-Men include Professor X, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Wolverine, Iceman, Beast, Rogue, and Storm. Often framed as the world's second strongest superheroes, after the Avengers, they are nonetheless one of Marvel's most popular and important franchises.
