One of Marvel's most critically acclaimed stories of 2025 is finally coming to a close.
Per a press release from Marvel Comics, the hit Marvel Knights: The World to Come from writer Christopher Priest and artist Joe Quesada will officially conclude with the publication of its sixth and final issue this November. Readers can get their first look at the cover for Marvel Knights: The World to Come #6 down below. While November will mark the end of one Marvel Knights story, another story from the fan-favorite R-rated Marvel imprint will just be kicking things into high gear that same month with the release of Marvel Knights: The Punisher #2 from writer Jimmy Palmiotti and artist Dan Panosian.

The official solicit synopsis for Marvel Knights: The World to Come #6 reads, "T'Challa and Ketema go head-to-head, and it’s not just Wakanda hanging in the balance, it’s the whole world! The celebration of Marvel Knights comes to its culmination and conclusion in grand fashion!" For readers who have been following along, that comes with the promise of a proper end to one of the tensest rivalries in Marvel Comics history. At the outset of Marvel Knights: The World to Come, readers were introduced to Ketema, the future son of T'Challa and New York jazz singer Monica Lynne. Rather than introducing Ketema as an infant or young child, however, Marvel Knights: The World to Come brought the character into the spotlight as a vengeful adult with his sights set on taking his father's throne - and his life.
Ahead of the release of Marvel Knights: The World to Come, artist and former Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada spoke to CBR about the series, providing some key insight into Ketema's design. "For The World To Come, I had a lot of wonderful inspiration. Ketema, whom you will meet in the first issue, is wearing a costume that is a modernized spin on Jack Kirby’s original Black Panther design, back when the character was going to be called Coal Tiger," Quesada explained. "I think every artist who has to draw Wakanda and Wakandan tech has their own spin on what it looks like. But I do get to draw a long list of characters and tend to be partial to the classic costumes."
That's Not The End of Marvel Knight's The World to Come

Readers may be sad to see Marvel Knights: The World to Come reach its conclusion, but there is still plenty to look forward to with the release of Marvel Knights: Punisher from Palmiotti and Panosian, the former of whom discussed returning to Marvel Knights so many years after creating the imprint alongside Quesada. "The secret behind Marvel Knights has always been creative alchemy: the perfect blend of raw talent and fearless storytelling, forged by creators who don’t flinch when things get intense," Palmiotti recently noted. "Now, years later, under the iconic Marvel Knights banner that Joe Quesada and I created all those years ago, I'm writing a brand-new Punisher series that’s being lit on fire by one of the industry's most electrifying artists... This is Frank Castle pushed past his limits into uncharted, brutal territory. Dan and I aren’t revisiting a legend - we’re detonating it."
Marvel Knights: The World to Come #6 goes on sale this November from Marvel Comics.
