Quentin Tarantino, the filmmaker behind Pulp Fiction and Inglourious Basterds, says his next creative project is not a sequel to any of his hit films, or a new movie, or even a television show. Instead, Tarantino plans to stage a play he has written and wants it to premiere in London’s West End at the start of next year. He recently talked about these plans on The Church of Tarantino podcast.
Tarantino has finished writing the play but has not shared details about its story or whether it connects to any of his earlier movies. He comments, “Oh, the play is all written. It is absolutely the next thing I’m going to do. It’s absolutely my next project. And we’ll start the ball rolling on it in January because I just figure it’s like the first of the year.” He expects the process, if successful, to take up to two years, especially if it goes on tour. However, he says if it does not go well, it could wrap quickly. Either way, he plans for the play to be in front of an audience after about a year.
At the same time, Tarantino has also been involved in a new film project. Netflix is producing The Adventures of Cliff Booth, a sequel to Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. This film is directed by David Fincher and focuses on the character Cliff Booth, played by Brad Pitt. Tarantino wrote the script and is working closely with Fincher and the cast, including Pitt and Elizabeth Debicki. When asked why Fincher is the right person for the film, Tarantino stated, “I think me and David Fincher are the two best directors. So the idea that David Fincher actually wants to adapt my work, to me, shows a level of seriousness towards my work that I think needs to be taken into account.”
Any new content from Tarantino is a good thing for his fans and for the entertainment world, especially since he rarely revisits the same stories. The details about the new play remain under wraps, but with his past record, the news has sparked interest in both theater and film circles.

I'm not as much of a "CoMiCs NeEd MoAr DiVeRsItY & iNcLuSiOn" advocate as my girlfriend often is, but we both love funny books, crispy bacon, straight bourbon and hip hop. Add yet, we never vote the same, so we cancel each other out... and that works perfectly in my book!
