The latest chapter in Star Wars history has just left the door open for Han Solo's greatest rescue mission to continue in the future.
After facing off against all manner of interstellar threats, Han Solo's search for the Millennium Falcon has finally come to its end. As seen in the pages of Star Wars: Han Solo — Hunt for the Falcon #5 (by Rodney Barnes, Ramon Rosanas, Guru-eFX, and VC's Joe Caramagna), Han's search didn't end with reclaiming his famous ship, but with conceding the fact that going any further would ultimately be a fatal move.

The official solicit synopsis for Star Wars: Han Solo — Hunt for the Falcon #5 from Marvel Comics reads, "BATTLE AT UNKAR PLUTT'S! HAN and CHEWIE return to the Jakku junk dealer's hideaway to battle for the FALCON!"
"Visions of LUKE, LEIA and BEN SOLO run rampant through Han's mind as he battles through merciless security droids! Will Han's love of his family overpower his love for adventure?"
The Millennium Falcon has been a part of the Star Wars mythos from the very beginning. Over the course of three feature film trilogies, numerous spin-offs and tie-ins, and dozens of video game titles, Star Wars fans have seen the Millennium Falcon prove time and time again why it is one of the most iconic spacecraft in all of science fiction.
Throughout Star Wars: Han Solo — Hunt for the Falcon, readers have seen Han Solo and Chewbacca embark on one of their grandest adventures yet. Determined to hunt down and reclaim his iconic ship, Han sets out with a long list of rogues to talk or shoot down in his quest, each of whom brings him one step closer to the man who stole the Millennium Falcon from him in the first place — Gannis Ducain.
While Star Wars: Han Solo — Hunt for the Falcon has introduced plenty of previously name-dropped characters, such as Gannis Ducain and the Irving Boys, it also creates something of a minor plot hole for the Star Wars franchise. As some fans have noted online, Han famously told Rey during Star Wars: The Force Awakens that he had to steal the ship from Unkar Plutt. As of the final issue of Star Wars: Han Solo — Hunt for the Falcon, however, neither Han nor Plutt seems to have control of the ship.
Of course, there is always the chance that Han's continued hunt for the Millennium Falcon will be revisited in another Marvel Comics title sometime in the near future. Han Solo himself has been the focus of multiple Marvel Comics titles in the past decade, so it would be no surprise to fans if Star Wars: Han Solo — Hunt for the Falcon received its own follow-up series.
Star Wars: Han Solo — Hunt for the Falcon #5 is on sale now from Marvel Comics.
