In case you missed it (or heck, in case you didn't even know that this was a thing), Disneyland and Walt Disney World's Disney Hollywood Studios both included a "land" called Galaxy's Edge, which is an immersive park experience for fans that is like visiting an actual planet in the Star Wars universe.

The only issue is that the planet, Batuu, was specifically set in the continuity of the Sequel Trilogy, and had no connection to the original Trilogy of Star Wars fans. And that's fine, but obviously, a number of fans wanted to see Darth Vader or Princess Leia or Han Solo or Luke Skywalker or (you get the picture). Recently, Disneyland altered its Galaxy's Edge to work the original characters into the planet, as well.

And now, Marvel is releasing a comic book by writer Ethan Sacks, who wrote the original Galaxy's Edge tie-in comic book when the land first launched, that will reveal the untold story of how Luke and Leia and Vader came to this planet years earlier. In this CBR exclusive preview, we see that this might also include a brand-new take on how Luke Skywalker and Boba Fett first met each other!

In the preview pages, Darth Vader is searching for his newfound son, Luke Skywalker. Meanwhile, soon after Han Solo was taken into custody by Boba Fett (encased in Carbonite) to pay off Han's debt to Jabba the Hutt, Luke, Leia, Chewbacca, R2-D2, and C-3PO are headed to the planet Batuu to learn information about where Han Solo was taken.

Well, soon after they land (and we get a glimpse of the now-famed cities of the planet), Luke gets a Force vision, and heads off on his own. He realizes he is being tracked, and we discover that Boba Fett is after Luke because ot the Imperial bounty on Luke's head.

Luke tells Boba Fett that he knows who he is, and he knows what he did to Han. Well, that sure seems to suggest that this is the first time that they have met, right? That would retcon the 2014 Star Wars series (the one written initially by Jason Aaron), as that saw Boba Fett and Luke clash soon after A New Hope, as Vader was interested in the Force-sensitive pilot who destroyed the Death Star, and had Boba Fett track him down.

It was Boba Fett who would eventually let Vader know Luke's identity. That, of course, conflicts with the original first appearance of Boba Fett in the Star Wars Holiday Special, but now, we have a NEW version of Boba Fett and Luke's first meeting!

If you want to see how it goes down, pick up a copy of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Echoes of the Empire next week!
