"Superman" (2025) Nominated for MUAHS Guild Awards for Best Contemporary Make-Up and Hair Styling

DC Studios' "Superman" (2025) has earned two nominations from the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS) in the 13th annual Guild Awards. The film is recognized in the categories of Best Contemporary Make-Up (Alexei Dmitriew, LuAndra Whitehurst, Nicole Sortillon Amos, Amanda Sprunger) and Best Contemporary Hair Styling (Peter Swords King, Lindsay McAllister, Magnolia Lowe), celebrating the exceptional artistry that brought the Man of Steel and his world to life.
These nominations highlight the meticulous work of the film's make-up and hair teams, whose craft contributed significantly to the film's visual storytelling and character authenticity. The MUAHS Guild Awards honor outstanding achievement across motion pictures, television, commercials, and live productions. Winners will be announced on February 14th, 2026, at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.
Other nominees in both categories include "Eddington" (A24), "Jurassic World: Rebirth" (Universal Pictures). "Ballad of a Small Player" (Netflix), "Bugonia" (Focus Features), The Naked Gun (Paramount), and One Battle After Another (Warner Bros. Pictures/ HBO Max).
Since its July 11th release, "Superman" (2025) has garnered critical praise for its technical artistry and compelling storytelling. Directed by James Gunn and starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, the film combines blockbuster spectacle with grounded performances, marking a new chapter for the DC Universe.
