Just like they did with Foolkiller, Marvel makes a MAX version of Terror.
Just like with Foolkiller, it’s not nearly as good and makes the same mistake of substituting pointless violence for character development.
And finally, also just like with Foolkiller MAX, Marvel hires a very good creative team so that the effort isn’t unreadable–just not all that interesting.
Marvel seems to be competing with itself here–it has a “grown up” and very violent Punisher series, and keeps hoping lightning will strike twice. But the MAX line has always been best when it took risks rather than reinvest in the same ideas over and over.
