The Rocketeer takes off in style to celebrate its 35th anniversary, thanks to IDW Publishing's unique means of celebrating the milestone.
Per an official press release, IDW Entertainment announced a limited-time whiskey that's a must-drink for any fan of The Rocketeer. "What better way to celebrate a quintricennial anniversary than with a coral-colored spirit! IDW, in partnership with Official Cellar, announced the release of Rocketeer American Whiskey, available exclusively direct-to-consumer at Official Cellar! This limited edition bourbon includes two offerings, hi-rye and wheated, in a 750mL bottle at 43% ABV (86 proof)."

The Hi-Rye Bourbon is offered at $55, with signed editions priced at $115."
The Rocketeer has stood out as a prominent pulp hero across both film and comics, after originally being created in the 1980s to reinvigorate an interest in the concept of a pulp hero for the modern audience. Through the character design alone, The Rocketeer was able to channel an authentic and effortlessly smooth post-World War II American feel. Vintage style was married to the budding evolution of tech-based science fiction that allowed The Rocketeer to stand out in an age where heroism was celebrated. The Rocketeer himself happens upon humble heroism, all reflected in IDW Entertainment's drinkable collaboration with Official Cellar.
